Their chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing on top is incredible. I brought mine home and heated it up for a little bit. Game changer. Their cupcakes are also not too sweet (which is the ultimate compliment). Also, run for their savory biscuits. They are amazing and sell out all the time.

Yummy pastries and coffee. I went in the afternoon and although there was a small line, the service was very fast. Lots of places to sit and eat while taking a break from shopping.

Can't write a review for Baked Joint without writing a review for Baked & Wired. Same owner just a smaller location with fewer food options. I like how the pastry order line is separate from the coffee/beverage line. Sometimes you just want a cupcake (lol). My favorite here is red velvet and of course the loose teas. So many options of cupcakes here. Including tasty cookies. I like that both locations play 90's to early 2000's r&b, soul and hip hop.

This bake shop definitely lives up to its name. When I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the line was literally our the door. However the line moved rather quickly. Once inside there were so many options to choose from. I decided on red velvet cupcake and it was outstanding. Not too sweet and perfectly moist. There were lots of places to sit and and hang out with friends. There's also a shop on the side where you can purchase coffee and drinks. I would make that line again anytime for that cupcake. I definitely recommend this shop.

After hearing about these fancy cupcakes online we basically made an entire day trip out to Georgetown just to try them, and they were worth it! The cupcakes are not only large, but uniquely tall in their aspect ratio compared to most other cupcakes. The extra height results in getting a higher cupcake to frosting ratio per bite. If you usually feel like cupcakes are too sweet because of too much frosting, this unique cupcake shape really helps with that. We got the Red Velvet and Dirty Chai cupcakes. Both of them were moist without being too oily, pillowy soft, and had frosting that wasn't overly sweet. The frosting has that somewhat hard outer shell texture which I like. The cupcakes were so big and toe-curling delicious that we even took our leftovers onto the plane flight across the country as a souvenir snack. I'd definitely recommend trying the cupcakes here the next time you're in DC!

I order a half dozen cupcake for my father's birthday and Father's Day before a picnic in DC. Cupcakes were absolutely amazing. Flavors include Carrot Cake, Cookies and Cream, Cookie Dough, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate.

Baked and Wired is a gem just two blocks off M St. in Georgetown. It's a good alternative to the coffee spots on the Main Street cutting through Georgetown with some of seating options inside and a few tables outside too. I appreciated their selection of hot teas and a few options on tap for iced tea. There was only one non caffeinated iced tea option (Hibiscus mint) but I was able to get a cup of ice with my hot tea to make my own iced tea out of the lavender camomile tea. The ambiance is cozy and is ideal to indulge in a sweet treat. Their cupcakes are absolutely delicious and worth the higher price than a Starbucks loaf. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quieter cafe experience (at least during the weekday lunchtime rush hour) in the heart of Georgetown.

Literally the best cupcake place in the entire DMV, and I mean this! The cupcake itself has the right consistency and tastes just right. It's also a large portion served with upstanding customer service. Every time I visit, Ty and Dia are nonstop moving around and working with a smile on their face. They are literally my favorite people here and make coming here even more pleasant than it already is.
